St Andrew’s Outreach Team

This group is very much in its infancy. We are seeking ways in which we can be effective in our community by identifying those with particular needs and offering support and practical help. Outside lockdown, we offer:

  • home visits,
  • essential shopping
  • collection of prescriptions
  • coffee outings
  • telephone, letter, card and email contact
  • help with transport to church
  • accompanying to and from church
  • church visits
  • paired ‘walk and talk’ – this includes those who may only want to be accompanied to the end of the road or around the block, to those who would enjoy a longer ramble around Kimbolton.
  • Holy Communion at home – male and female vicar available

If you think you or a friend/relative would appreciate and benefit from this support and befriending, contact Lynda on 01480 861604 or 07710 672465

The earliest reference to a church and priest at Kimbolton appears in the Domesday survey of 1086. Originally a wooden structure, it was replaced by stone in about 1200. Today the external  appearance is mainly 14thC with 15thC additions.

In the churchyard there is a fine selection of table  tombs dating back to the early 18thC.
