Situated on Bidston Hill on the Wirral, the Tam O'Shanter historic cottage and free urban farm is run by a charitable trust with the aim of providing an enjoyable and educational experience for kids and adults alike.

The farm is run by the Tam O’Shanter Cottage Urban Farm Trust (Reg. Charity number 505444). We rely on visitor’s generous donations and we need your donations to ensure we maintain free entry for all!
Please give what you can. Donation boxes are available in the barn and at the shop.
Tam O’Shanter is in the heart of the community, providing fun, education and volunteering opportunities for all ages.
We encourage engagement with nature at every level and promote enhanced levels of mental and physical well-being through exercise, horticulture, outdoor activity, nature trails, scavenger hunts, regular events and more.
We aim to become the Wirral centre of excellence in wildlife care alongside managing, sustaining and developing our public access urban farm.
We aim to provide support for those enduring depressive illnesses, anxiety isolation and recovery from trauma and in future aim to provide facilitated guided re-engagement with qualified and experienced practitioners.
