Welcome to Bailiff's Cottage on Exmoor.

The self catering accommodation is a well equipped bungalow attached to our small farm and has one double bedroom.
Situated down a quiet country lane,  just a mile from the central Exmoor village of Exford, we enjoy a peaceful, tranquil position with lovely views of the Somerset countryside.
Bailiff's Cottage is an ideal venue for a relaxing holiday.

Bailiff's Cottage bungalow has its own private driveway and garden.  The accommodation is very cosy with oil fired central heating and hot water included. Additional use of electricity is by a coin meter.
The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, microwave, washing machine and electric cooker.
The sitting room has patio doors, which open out onto a seating area and the garden, which is bordered by a stream tributary of the River Exe.
The bedroom has a double bed, en-suite shower, wash basin and toilet. All linen (duvet, sheet, pillow cases, tea towels, towels and tablecloth) is included.

The nearby village of Exford has a lovely big village green surrounded by a few shops, a couple of hotels and a small petrol station.  There is a newsagents, a post office and a general provisions store.  The White Horse Hotel has a nice non-residents bar and good lunches and dinners.

There are lots of walks down the Exe valley or up on the moor over Dunkery Beacon.  In fact, Exford is an ideal, central Exmoor location for walkers and ramblers.

Foreland Point from the top of Hollerday Hill, Lynton The northern edge of the Exmoor National Park is bordered by the Bristol Channel.  The coastline is spectacular with high cliffs, coves, a few sandy beaches and ancient oak woodland.
The towns of Minehead, Porlock and Lynton/Lynmouth are approximately 15 miles and the half hour drive features some really beautiful scenery.  En-route to Minehead you pass through the village of Dunster with its Castle (National Trust) and ancient Yarn Market.  There is also a visitor centre and a number of interesting shops including some rather good tea rooms.
In a more westerly direction, on the way to Lynton and Lynmouth, why not take a slight deviation to explore the beautiful Doone Valley made famous by R. D Blackmore's novel Lorna Doone ?  There are some lovely walks here and several great places for a drink and lunch.
