Coast and Countryside
Just beyond Bristol is a world of quiet country lanes, rolling countryside,
meadows, valleys and woods. a wonderful coastline dotted with charming
seaside towns, and some of the most spectacular sites in England.
Bath
Thirteen miles east of Bristol lies the beautiful city of Bath. Small but
perfectly formed and designated a World Heritage Site, this most
sophisticated of English cities is a feast for the senses.
With thermal springs, world-renowned Roman Baths, a glorious Abbey,
honey-coloured Georgian terraces and sweeping parklands; Bath is truly
breathtaking. It is a place for pleasure...wander flower-filled streets
straight out of Jane Austen, take tea in the Pump Room serenaded by a string
quartet, relax on manicured riverside lawns - Bath will induce a deep sense
of well-being.
To the north and east of Bristol lie the Cotswold Hills and the countryside
of South Gloucestershire |
